In this reading of the story that started it all, spend a Saturday afternoon with Pippi Longstocking, an uncommonly strong and free-spirited nine-year old girl, who moves into an abandoned villa with her horse and pet monkey, Mr. Nilsson. Without a mother and with an absent, sea-faring pirate father, Pippi soon befriends the neighbor’s children, Tommy and Annika, and they go on many adventures together.
Before and after the reading, you are encouraged to throw your own Pippi Party, with fun role-playing games, conversations about friendship, and lessons on how to be a “turnupstuffer” by making your own scavenger hunt! A fun activity guide for audiences of all ages and strengths will be added here closer to the performance; check back to download and see how to participate and share with us on Instagram.
